Trail Blazer Bulletin September 3-6

Dear Trail Blazer Community
I hope that you had a restful weekend. As you may or may not be aware, last weekend we lost a member of the Trail Blazer family.
Coach Terry Drain, was a volleyball and softball coach and a Social Studies teacher, father and husband. He touched countless lives with his kindness and humor and his passing leaves a vacuum and heartache that will be hard to heal. We are so thankful for the volleyball and softball booster clubs who are helping support the family and helping support our student athletes through this process. Please keep our teaching and coaching staff, students and student athletes in your thoughts and prayers.
Digital PSAT Day - October 2
All FISD 10th and 11th grade students are automatically registered to take the PSAT/NMSQT, free of charge, during the school day on October 2, 2024. The PSAT helps students identify academic areas of strength and growth, as well as prepare for college entrance exams like the SAT. The PSAT/NMSQT is also the qualifying test for the National Merit Scholarship Program for students in 11th grade and the National Recognition Programs for both 10th and 11th grade students.
This fall the PSAT/NMSQT will be administered in a digital format that will provide an overall easier testing experience for students. Your student will take the PSAT/NMSQT on October 2nd using their own school-issued device. Students are strongly encouraged to opt-in to the District’s 1 for All Chromebook program to ensure device compatibility with online testing. If your student has not opted in to the 1 for All Chromebook program, there will be a limited number of Chromebooks available on test day on a first come, first served basis.

Students are not permitted to exit the building for pickups of any kind. Any deliveries will be confiscated by campus administration and not returned to students.
Student Parking & Parking Permits
Student parking lots are on the south side, and northeast side of the building (outside the band hall and by the football field).
Students who commute during the day to Collin or the CTE will be required to enter the building through the front entrance and show their ID utilizing the front doorbell system.
All student drivers utilizing the school parking lots are required to purchase a parking sticker for the 2024-2025 school year.
Your student may purchase a parking sticker by completing the Parking Permit Form. Please submit payment by visiting onlineschoolfees.com and submitting the required documents. Your student may then pick up the parking sticker in the Front Office with the appropriate ID.
