A NOTE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
I was reading an article today Dual Enrollment Leads to More College Acceptances, Greater Financial Awards, and I reflected on all the opportunities our students have to earn dual credit through Fox Valley Technical College and UW-Oshkosh. Not only do our dual credit courses offer opportunities to earn college credit in high school and help prepare students for college, but we also have several dual credit opportunities that prepare students for the trades and future careers. Students who enroll in dual credit courses take these classes at the high school at a cheaper cost than after high school at the tech or university. When we look at last year's graduating class, 99% of our students took dual credit courses, AP courses, participated in work study or youth apprenticeship opportunities. I'm proud of the work our students and staff commit to in order support our students.
GO FOXES!

Athletics and Activities Attendance Policy (Condensed)
Students must attend the full school day to participate in practice or competition. To be eligible on a day with an absence:
Step 1: A parent must notify the office 24 hours in advance. For emergency medical appointments, parents must call before 8:00 AM the day of the absence. A medical note is required upon arrival.
Step 2: Student collects an excused slip from the office with the medical note.
Step 3: Student gives the excused slip to their coach/advisor before participating.
A parent may call a student in for personal reasons as long as they arrive before 2nd hour and are within their 10 excused absences for the year. Unexcused absences mean no participation until the next full day. Final decisions rest with the Dean of Students or Principal.
COUNSELOR CORNER
Want to Connect with the Guidance Counselor?
We have a new way to connect with Mrs. LaFleur. Please go to the Student Resource page and scroll to the bottom.
This will take you to my new request form. Mrs. LaFleur is hoping this will be an easier way for everyone to get in touch with her.
Student Wellbeing Options
The School District of Omro is excited to offer students two convenient counseling options during the school day.
A Rawhide Youth Services counselor is available at OES, OMS, and OHS.
Collaborative Wellness counselors are available at all four schools.
Counseling sessions take place in a private space at school, but please note that these counselors are not school employees. Any information your child shares will stay private and will not be shared with school staff unless you give permission.
All counseling services are billed through your family’s insurance.
We are grateful to be able to partner with these organizations to support the well-being of our students.
Please contact your child's School Counselor, School Psychologist, or Director of Pupil Services for more information or to complete a referral form.
