Happy September!
Dear Families,
Thank you for your continued patience and support as we settle in and make this space truly feel like home.
To stay connected and informed, we encourage all families to download the new JISD app. It’s a great way to receive school news, updates, and communicate directly with your child’s teacher.
Thank you for being a vital part of our school community. We’re looking forward to a fantastic year together!
September 15 to October 15 is Hispanic Heritage Month—a time to recognize and celebrate the rich cultures, histories, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans.
At Selma, we’re excited to honor this special month through classroom activities, stories, music, and art that highlight the diverse traditions and voices within our community. We encourage you to talk with your child about what they’re learning and share your own family traditions if you'd like!
Thank you for partnering with us to celebrate the vibrant heritage that helps shape our school and our world.
Warm regards,
Dr. Martinez
Principal

Judson ISD Communication App
Beginning September 1st
Judson ISD Launches New App to Simplify School Communication
JISD Families,
We are always working to improve and simplify communication between you, your campus and the district. Knowing what’s happening at your child’s school and keeping up with your child’s coursework and their teachers directly impacts their well being both in the classroom and at home. School communication plays a big part in all of this, but it’s often not set up to be as simple and easy to access as it could be.
Judson ISD is excited to announce the launch of a new district app designed to streamline communication between families, campuses, and the district. This all-in-one platform makes it easier than ever to stay informed and connected to your child’s education.
Key Features of the App Include:
Live feed updates
District and school news
Event calendars
Breakfast and lunch menus
Push notifications for urgent announcements
Introducing “Rooms” – A New Parent-Teacher Communication Tool
Rooms allows for two-way messaging with teachers and staff, classroom updates, behavior tracking, and automatic translation, making it easier to support your child’s learning and celebrate their achievements.

Arrival & Dismissal Traffic
Selma families please be sure that we are following our traffic plan for arrival and dismissal.
At arrival please do not park in the car line and walk up to the door, we need to keep the car rider line moving, if your students need help, our staff will help them out of the car
At dismissal it is important to have your car tag to ensure the safety of our students. The safety of all is important to us so we also ask you not to exit your vehicle while actively in the dismissal lane.
We do not allow early dismissal after 2:30 and walk ups during the time of dismissal. Please be sure you have your blue card on the dash of your vehicle, if you do not have it, we will ask you to park and come inside to school to receive a new card with your identification.
All walkers should walk home safely along the sidewalk, it is not a car rider pick up location.
