A Message From the Principal
Good afternoon,
Great job to the cast and crew of Little Miss Christie! They did an amazing job of preparing for the production and had three entertaining performances this week. Don't forget - you can still see the musical tonight (April 11) at 6:30 pm in the Fremont MS Gym.
A reminder to families and students that a student's Chromebook and FSD79 account are to be used for school purposes only. Emails, the Google Suite, and searches are all reviewed by security systems such as Gaggle and Securly. As things are flagged students may meet with an administrator or social worker. Inappropriate searches and content may warrant school consequences, per the Family Handbook.
Reminder that there is no school on Friday, April 18th. School resumes on Monday, April 21st.
Warm Regards,
Emily Loerakker
Fremont MS Principal
Summer School
⛱️Summer Adventures in Learning (SAiL) registration is still open until May 2nd! Please look through the entire SAiL catalog here.
🌞Summer Boost registration is open as well! This program connects your student with a teacher for Math and/or Reading support using familiar online tools we utilize throughout the year. The teacher monitors progress, sends encouragement, and offers office hours weekly. This program also works with any summer schedule; students work online at their own pace, asynchronously! (sign up here for SAiL and/or Boost)
🌞Summer Scholars is an invitation-only program. Original invitations were sent by your student’s teacher. As some decline, we will extend this invite to students on our waiting list. Keep an eye out for your invitation and be sure to register using the link in your email as soon as you can. We ask this in order to allow enough planning time for a family on the waiting list, should you not claim the spot.
🌻Multilingual and ESY program invitations have also been sent via email or phone call. Please also indicate your transportation needs when confirming your spot with your teacher.
Please reach out to Alana Davidov, adavidov@fsd79.org, Fremont Intermediate School Assistant Principal, for help or questions about Summer Boost, Summer Scholars, and SAiL!
Please reach out to Tegan Dittmer, tdittmer@fsd79.org, for any questions related to Extended School Year or Multilingual programming.
8th Grade Dance Information from Dance Committee
The 8th grade dance committee is hard at work planning this year's dance with one goal in mind.
We want our children to SHINE.
The theme “SHINE” was molded to celebrate each and every student for their differences, strengths, and their many accomplishments. Collectively, they SHINE brighter as one.
Together, they have made this an amazing 8th-grade class, and we wish to celebrate all they have done. And in order to make this dance SHINE as bright as possible, we need your help.
As part of this celebration, we’re putting together a slideshow that will be displayed at the dance. To help us make this as meaningful as possible for both the kids and volunteers, we’re asking for the following.
- Please provide 1-5 photos of your child on this Google Photo Link. (Try to keep it to five photos maximum. If more than 5 photos are submitted from one family, we will only take the first five.) The best kinds of photos are groups of kids and not individual pictures of your children. Please have your photos submitted no later than *FRIDAY, MAY 2ND*
- The dance committee has put together a party supplies list, and we’re looking for your support. We have put together an 8th Grade Dance Parent Purchase Wishlist, and any purchase made will go directly to the dance. We are incredibly grateful for any contribution you are willing to make.
- Please RSVP on this Google Form by May 16 to help us get an accurate count!
One last thing!
***MONETARY DONATIONS***
If you would like to contribute money towards the 8th-grade dance, we would certainly
appreciate any and all donations. All funds will go towards the purchase of paper
goods, food, decor and more.
Monetary donations can be sent to: @fremont-pto*Please list *8th grade dance in the notes section*
Thank you all for your support in advance. We can’t wait to give these children an
amazing memory at the end of their 8th-grade year. Here’s to watching them SHINE.

Student Council has great news for you! Your 8th grade class shirts are ready to be ordered!

All orders must be completed through the online store. The store will be closed by the end of the day on May 9th. The shirts will be delivered directly to Fremont Middle School and distributed to your Flex teacher.
Please email Mrs. Wight (kwight@fsd79.org) with any questions.
Early Pick-Up Procedures
If your student needs to be picked up early, please notify our main office at 847-566-9384 or send an email to the receptionist, Karolina O'Malley, at komalley@fsd79.org. A parent/guardian or designated person must present identification to pick a student up early. Please note that the latest pickup time is 2:00 PM on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday and 1:30 PM on Wednesday. Parents cannot park in handicapped parking spots near the gym as it interferes with bus pick up.
