Both the Peotone Junior High and High School have exciting trips coming up in March!

• The PHS Band will have an exciting in-school trip to ISU on March 5th for a clinic with the amazing Assistant Band Director, TJ Mack. They will not only get an hour and a half of feedback on their music and then get to see the ISU Wind Symphony rehearse for 30 mins.

• PJHS will be participating in the IGSMA competition on Saturday, March 8th, at Martino Junior High. The event will run from approximately 11:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with students taking a bus to and from the venue from PJHS. We ask that students bring a packed lunch for the day. If you need an additional permission slip or itinerary, both are attached for your convenience. Please ensure that all forms are turned in by Friday of this week to ensure everything is prepared for the event. We are excited for the students and look forward to a successful competition!

If you haven't looked at the music calendar recently, the Spring Choir and Band concerts are on March 11th and 13th starting at 7 p.m. at the PHS Auditorium! Doors will open for each night at 6:45 p.m. We are so excited to be showcasing what the students have been working on. Below are the call times for each concert:

Choir Call Times on March 11th:

• PIC Choir: 5:45 p.m.
• PJHS Choir : 6:00 p.m.
• PHS Choir: 6:15 p.m.
• Powerhouse Show Choir: 6:30 p.m.

Band Call Times on March 13th:

• PIC Band: 5:45 p.m.
• PJHS Bands (6-8th grade): 6:00 p.m.
• PHS Band: 6:15 p.m.

Please review the attached choir details and concert attire for both band and choir. Additionally, If there are any parents willing to help chaperone the Band concert please email Mr. Kowalski at bkowalski@peotoneschools.org.

The day for shopping has been updated. Girls will be invited to shop on April 12th from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. in the Media Center Peotone High School 210 N. 2nd St Peotone Il 60468

All proceeds will benefit Peotone Fine Arts programs

In order to make sure that both band and choir performances run smoothly, we are asking families to fill out a conflict form (the button below) if a student is not able to be there. This is to be filled out at least 2 weeks in advance before the date of conflict. This form will be posted on the newsletter and shortly is available on both band and choir student's Google Classroom pages.

Performances are grades and the expectation is for you to be there. If you are unable to go to an event, there will be a makeup assignment that will need to be completed. Usually situations of work or family events do not qualify as reasons for not going. Once completing the form, please alert Mr. Kowalski or Ms. Marshall about the submission so we can review it.
