See You in August, Grizzly Nation!
We hope everyone is having a fantastic summer and making the most of the weeks remaining! We can't wait to welcome all of our Grizzlies back for the First Day of School on Monday, August 24! A new school year means new students and new opportunities! We look forward to welcoming another 347 Grizzlies to the Den this year bringing our total enrollment to around 1,438 students.
Grizzly Welcome Day - August 10
All students in grades 9-11 will get their fall school pictures taken at Grizzly Welcome Day! School appropriate attire is required for Wagner Photography to take your picture. Also, if you are interested in participating in fall activities, there is a meeting directly following Grizzly Welcome at 6 pm in our auditorium. You don't want to miss out on this event! It is truly a one stop shop to get you ready for the new school year!
At our Grizzly Welcome Day, families can pick up...
- Schedules (If you are missing a class, already earned credit for a class, or need to repeat a class, we will have counselors available to assist. We encourage you to check that your schedule is accurate with the correct courses listed. Please do not wait to take care of this the first day of school. We want your first day to be as smooth as possible.)
- Yearbook Supplement Pickup from the 2025-2026 School Year (This is for underclassmen only, since all graduated seniors should have received their supplement in the mail towards the end of June.)
- Yearbook Ordering for the 2026-2027 School Year
- Chromebook Insurance ($20 Annually)
- All Sports Passes ($80 for a family pass, $35 for a single adult pass, and $20 for a single student pass. These passes can be used at all WSD regular season events.)
- Nurse Information
- Fines (Before purchasing a parking pass, all fines must be paid. Please note that both parking passes and fines can be paid online through Focus now, if you prefer.)
- Grizzly Gear from our Grizzly Way Booster Club (They are able to accept Venmo, Cash, and Credit Cards.)
- Grizzly Yard Signs
- Meet our Administration, Counseling Team, and many of our Staff Members
- Representatives will be present from some of our Activities, Clubs, and Athletics
- Self-Paced Building Scavenger Hunt
- Opportunity to Walk your Schedule
- Licensed Drivers can Purchase a Parking Pass - We will have parking lot security again this year. A parking pass is required to park on the lot. There is a new parking pass application process this year (see below).
Please note all steps must be completed to obtain a parking tag at North Point.
- Step 1: Purchase your permit ($30) in Focus (all outstanding fines must be paid first).
- Step 2: Go to the Child Information menu in Focus, then Transportation. Click the "student driver" check box and then fill in the following fields: car make, car model, car year, car color and license plate. Please DO NOT enter permit number as that will be different from prior years.
- Step 3: Bring your current driver's license and valid auto insurance card to Mrs. Evans in the main office and pick up your parking tag. Parking tags for the 26-27 school year will be distributed on Grizzly Welcome Day (August 10) and during office hours after that. Your parking tag MUST be displayed from your rear view mirror at all times while parked on the NPHS lot.
***Please note we are only able to accept checks or cash on the day of the event. To avoid writing multiple checks, you may want to bring cash. If you would like to pre-pay for some commonly purchased items and save time on Grizzly Welcome Day, please login to the Parent Focus Portal. Then, click on your student's name, "Purchase & Pay" and the options available to you will show up including Technology Chromebook Insurance, North Point HS Parking (Grades 10-12 ONLY as long as ALL Fines are Paid) as well as an option to pay for any fines you have accrued. Please note there is a small processing fee per transaction for pre-paying online.

Required Immunizations for Seniors
We encourage you to review the student health requirements for the upcoming school year. Please see State of Missouri Required Immunizations for 2026-2027 School Year.
If you are unsure if your child is up-to-date on immunizations, please email our nurse at dianewilmes@wsdr4.org before 08/11/2026 to ensure your child will be able to attend on the first day of school for the 26/27 school year. You can also call your child's pediatrician or family doctor. All updated immunization records need to be turned into the school nurse's office as these do not automatically get sent to us by your doctor.
PLEASE NOTE - Our nurse will be available at Grizzly Welcome Day to accept immunization records and daily medication/orders for the new school year. We look forward to seeing your child healthy and ready to learn!
WSD Back to School Fair
The WSD plans to host the 16th Annual Back to School Fair for district families on Saturday, August 15, from 8-11 am at Liberty High School. The event is intended to get school supplies in the hands of WSD students who need them the most.
The event is FREE for district families and will feature dozens of vendors, free school supplies, games and fun activities for children. At last year's event, we distributed over $8,600 worth of school supplies to WSD students. In addition, MOChip will be on hand to provide free child identification kits.
