Welcome Back!

I hope you all had an amazing, peaceful, energy filling break! I got a lot of cleaning done, I know that doesn't sound relaxing but cleaning out clutter for me is therapeutic! I even had a couple of visits from Mercedes dropping off some amazing food!

I can't wait to hear what you all did over break! We'll start our Wednesday PLCs with a check in to see what fun you had! Be ready!

Don't forget we have some MAJOR schedule changes for the spring. If you changed your google meet code be sure to have both meets open to redirect students to your new code.

Fall Reflection Survey
If you didn't fill this out yet please do! Thank you to the 25 who have already completed the survey!

Extended Grading Period

The window for the second cycle grading cycle has been extended to January 8th (from Jan. 5) to provide a few more days for you to enter/update grades after break. This means there will be two windows open at the same time, so be careful adding assignments and make sure grades are added to the correct cycle.

If a student submitted 130 assignments over break, grade the ones that you need grades for and enter those - don't grade all 130 assignments. If by chance they need grade recovery or extra credit you could look at the other work submitted.

TTESS Observations

Starting next week we will be sending out schedules for you to sign up for your TTESS Pre-Observation conference. When you come for your conference you'll need to know the date and time you prefer for us to observe as well as the lesson you are presenting.

This week, please take the time to review the rubric as it will be our guide to completing the observation. This website has ALL of the resources you could ever want!

We will stagger these throughout the months of January and February, don't worry if you don't get an email first thing.

PLC/WDM Schedule

You'll find our schedule here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1EF8U-oA3nIHj_su2GUP6y7-e90MA97qkSxaKTdV4y_Q/edit#gid=0 (pic below as well).

You might notice blanks in some areas, that's where we will fill in the specific DOL we are covering for that week (determined during the planning week).

Please make sure that you come each week prepared.

1. Cover sheet filled out for DOLs and CBAs, same cover sheet for both

2. Data entered on the data trackers to monitor progress.

We eased into everything this fall but now it's time to hit the ground running!

MOY MAP Testing

Below you see a proposed MOY MAP Testing Schedule

Biggest change - all remote students will have to come to school to take the test, there will be no remote testing. Once we are back we will begin scheduling parents. We will have opportunities on Fridays or the last week of the window for remote testers (only about 80 students). Stay tuned for more information in January. We will only be taking math and reading, no science.
