It's Quick, Confidential, and Critical for Student Support & District Funding
The Michigan School Aid Budget for this year has not been finalized, so it’s still uncertain whether the state will provide funding to offer free meals for all students.
To ensure your child’s access to meals is not interrupted and to help West Bloomfield School District secure critical state and federal funding, we need ALL families to complete the Education & Nutrition Benefits Application (formerly known as the Free & Reduced Meals Application).
Complete the application today at: https://westbloomfield.familyportal.cloud/
If you need assistance or have questions about completing the form, please contact Andrea Grobe at andrea.grobe@wbsd.org.
Free breakfast and lunch for all students will continue through September 30, 2025.
Why it matters:
Your application helps ensure we can continue to provide nutritious meals to all students.
Funding tied to our free/reduced rate supports far more than meals; it impacts academic programs, athletic programs, technology, and student services.
Even if you think you may not qualify, completing the form still helps the district.
Fueling Kids’ Futures–One Meal at a Time
Parents of WBSD students can apply to receive six non-perishable meals each Friday of the school year. The goal of Fueling Kids' Futures is to make sure no child goes hungry on the weekend. Run by volunteers, there is NO cost to the families. For the application, click here. Any student enrolled in the program for the 24/25 school year will automatically be enrolled for the 25/26 school year and does not have to fill out an application.
Save the Date: the major fundraiser for Fueling Kids' Futures is Trivia Night Friday, November 7, 2025.

Update from Transportation
- The Bridge on Greer at Rosedale Dr is closing for construction. Durham buses are unable to service the subdivision east of the bridge, and will be picking up the students affected at North Rosedale and Greer. We're not sure how long construction will last, but when the bridge is open again we will resume using the normal bus stops.
- The Bus Zone App is available for iOS, Android and web and allows families to track their student(s) bus along its route, to and from school. Families will need to have their student(s) ID numbers which are available in PowerSchool in order to log into the app and create an account. Check out the transportation page for details.
- As a safety protocol, the Bus Zone app will only allow families to see their student(s) bus route(s) only.
