Weekly Update
January 16, 2026
From the Principal
What a wild weather week! From the upper 40's to negative temperatures, it has been a difficult week to predict. We did go outside the majority of days this week, but we are not seeing consistent winter weather gear. Hats, gloves and heavy coats are needed during these crazy swings in temperatures. We also need boots, so our feet stay dry. Hopefully next week we will be able to go into the field and snow. We all know how much the kids love to play in the snow.
We are also well into the sicknesses that come with winter. This week we had many absences and sick kiddos. Please remember that students need to be fever free for 24 hours before returning to school. It seems like this latest wave of illness is taking people down for several days up to a week.
Stay warm and healthy this weekend. See you on Tuesday!
Mrs. Heitkamp

Catholic Schools Week
We are finalizing our Catholic Schools Week celebration at the end of the month. Below is a list of our "dress up" days. For clarification, dress like royalty is a dress up day.
Another item to start planning is our "Special Person(s) lunch". Students can invite a special person or persons to bring them a lunch from their favorite food place (like McDonald's, etc.). The special person is also invited to stay for recess and the talent show. This year, it will be on Thursday, January 29th. Lunch begins at 12 noon, and the talent show will start at around 1:15 PM (with recess in between). Many parents were able to join us last year, but it can be grandparents or just a special friend. The kids love having their visitors with them for lunch.
