Dear Syracuse Elementary Families,
Last week’s Lunar New Year Celebration was a tremendous success! A heartfelt thank you to our incredible Dual Language Immersion Team for creating such a meaningful and vibrant event for our students and families. We are also so grateful to the families who support their children and our teachers in this program. It was wonderful to see so many members of our community join us!
Our PTA Book Fair is happening February 24th-26th with a read-a-thon on February 25th — don’t miss it! 📚
This is also the last week to order 2025–2026 yearbooks. Please check your MyDSD guardian account payment history to confirm your purchase.
Additionally, this is the final week for priority kindergarten registration for the 2026–2027 school year.

We are excited to announce Kindergarten Priority Registration for families with children entering kindergarten for the 2026–27 school year! This early registration window helps schools plan staffing, resources, and class sizes to ensure a smooth and successful start for our youngest learners.

January 15 – February 27
Why register early?
✔ Helps schools plan staffing and class sizes
✔ Allows us to prepare supports and resources
✔ Ensures families receive important kindergarten information early
Who can register?
Children who will be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2026, and live within school boundaries.
