Good Evening,
It was another busy week here at the Manor. This week is Fire Prevention Week. Our early childhood classes were treated to Singerly Fire Company coming over to visit and educate them about fire safety. They got to explore fire trucks and watch Mrs. Vickery dress up in turn out gear (pic below).
Tuesday, 10/6/26 interims were sent home. These reports were sent through email. If you did not receive your students interim report, please check your SPAM folder. Speaking of student progress, November 2nd is day that school is closed for students and we have designated as a day for parent/teacher conferences. Please be on the look out this coming week for scheduling options.
Next week we will stick with a fall theme. Our Kindergartners will be visiting Milburn's Orchard for some fall fun on Tuesday. On Thursday we will be having the 3rd annual Haunted Hallway beginning at 6:00 pm. Please note that this is a pay event $2.oo dollars, per person, at the door exact change is appreciated.
On Thursday 10/15 GMES will participate in the "Great American Shake Out". This event is an annual event aimed at practicing our protocols in the event of an earth quake.
On Friday 10/16, Schools are closed for all students to provide time for professional development.
School Attendance- Regular, on time, school attendance is crucial to student success. Student who demonstrate regular, on time, attendance score higher on state assessments, and have a higher reading level. GMES's goal this year is a 95% attendance rate. Our attendance rate for the month of September was 94.23%. If you have any needs as they relate to attendance, please contact Mrs. Pearson, CSA, or Mr. Smith, SSRT.
