Parent Handbook
Dear Parents and Families,
Please take a few moments to review our Parent Handbook, which contains important information about school policies, communication, attendance, academics, safety, and more.
You may click the link below to view the handbook online. Each student will also receive a printed copy to take home.
After reviewing the handbook, please sign and return the acknowledgment form with your child.
Thank you for taking the time to stay informed and for partnering with us to support a safe and successful school year. We truly appreciate your continued support! π

Walking Students to Class
Starting this week, all Kβ6 students will begin walking to their classrooms independently each morning. Parents and guardians may drop students off at the front entrance or school lobby.
If your child needs help finding their classroom, donβt worry! Our staff members and 6th-grade student ambassadors will be available to greet students and help them get to class safely.
This routine helps our students build independence, confidence, responsibility, and strong morning routines while supporting a calm and safe start to the school day.
Thank you, families, for helping our students grow and become more independent! π
Arrival & Dismissal Reminders
Please use the Parent Drop-Off/Pick-Up Lane only for dropping off or picking up students.
If you would like to walk your child into the building, please park in the parent parking lot and accompany your child to the school. Students should not be dropped off in the parking lot and walk across by themselves. PLease be aware of people walking in the parking lot, and watch your speed!
Please do not park in the staff parking lot or use it to drop off or pick up your child. This area is reserved for staff and school buses only to ensure the safety of our students and efficient traffic flow.
For everyone's safety, please do not park or stop in the bike lane to drop off or pick up students. Vehicles parked in the bike lane are subject to ticketing.
Thank you for helping us keep our students safe and making the first day a wonderful experience for everyone.
If you arrive after 7:50, you MUST walk your child to the front office.
Students who arrive late must sign in at the office for their tardy pass.
Where Did Your Journey Begin? π¦
We invite our students and families to help us celebrate the many places, cultures, and stories that make our school community so special!
Stop by with your child to color a butterfly and add your family's journey to our map. If your family is from another country, connect that country to the United States. If you are from another state, connect your state to New Mexico.
Whether your journey began near or far, every story belongs here. Together, our unique journeys make our Trailblazer community stronger! π¦πβ€οΈ
Parents and students, come add your journey to our board!
Join the PTC!
Your involvement makes a difference! Joining the PTC is a great way to support our students, staff, and school community. Ready to get involved? Let your childβs teacher know, email the PTC, or sign up using the link provided. Weβd love to have you!
