From Mrs. Ballard:

Next week is a short week for students, so I’ve adjusted the daily SEL slides accordingly. We are continuing with the mindset of Passion First with lessons on Taking a Stand for what you believe in. There are some incredible videos about elementary aged children who have gone above and beyond to make their passions a reality in the bonus features that I hope you can make time to share with your students.

SEL K-2

SEL 3-5

Let me know if you need anything, even if it’s just someone to cover you class for a few minutes, a piece of candy (a.k.a. teacher therapy), or a listening ear.

Reminder

If I’m not readily available for a student, you can always use this form to let me know someone needs to be seen. School Counselor Referral Request (also available on the landing page)

The drive will run from Nov. 1st – Nov. 15th.

Also attached is a flyer that we can start sharing with parents next week for our fall Food Drive.

We will be sharing all of the food brought in with local food pantries that are also great community partners when our own families are in need.

If you have any students in your classroom that you are concerned might be “food insecure” at home, please let Mrs. Ballard or Nurse Brandy know. Ballard can share contact information for local food pantries that are always happy to help families. Nurse B. can include students in the Food4Kids program that provides free snacks for students on a weekly basis.

SHOUT OUT TO...

Christa - The Apple Nacho Bar was a HUGE success! Thank you for offering your natural hostess and event planning skills to make it NACHO-AVERAGE HALLOWEEN! We are truly thankful to have your leadership on this campus.

Nicole Reeves from Adrian and Christine: Thanks for sharing your office with us during our planning day. It’s so cozy!

Coach from Brandy: Thanks for having my back in Emergencies! It's so much safer to have a 2 man team and I'm so glad you have my 6.

Adrianna and Rachel from Brandy: When it gets crazy in the clinic I am so grateful to have you both. I start delegating without considering what's on your plates and your flexibility on the fly is commendable. Plus you're fun to work with. I love you both!

Olivia from Brandy: You were a rockstar under pressure! Great job applying that pressure to the wound!

Charlotte from Brandy: Thank you for your grace. Always.
