Principal's Letter
Dear North Star Community,
We had another fabulous week at North Star! This week, our scholars participated in a bicycle safety presentation from the Redwood City Police Department to help equip them with the knowledge needed to make safe and responsible choices over the summer. As a school community, we also came together to create an incredible chalk mural at the front of the school, a colorful display of creativity and collaboration!
On Thursday, we were thrilled to welcome families to campus for Open House and celebrate our scholars’ hard work, accomplishments, and growth throughout the year. The evening was a wonderful opportunity for scholars to proudly demonstrate all they have learned and contributed this year. In addition to visiting classrooms, families enjoyed our art display, enrichment showcase, chalk mural viewing, and lost & found area. If you did not have a chance to look through the lost & found, please make sure to do so before Wednesday, after that, all remaining items will be packaged for donation.
Looking ahead to next week, our 8th graders will begin preparing for their graduation ceremony. We will also have Field Day (please sign up to volunteer if you are able!), a free book swap (donations are being accepted now), and our final Gryphon Gathering on Friday.
I cannot believe we are approaching the final week of the 2026–2027 school year. I am filled with immense gratitude that you have entrusted us with your most precious gift, your scholar. It has been a true privilege to partner with your family and be part of your scholar’s journey this year. Wishing everyone a wonderful final week together!
Sincerely,
Erin Kekos
Principal
