Our Mission Statement
Laura’s Village empowers adults with special needs by nurturing their unique abilities, fostering independence, ensuring dignity, and building community.
We value community, celebration, and faith.
To the moms of children and adults with special needs, and to every woman who has stepped into the role of “mom” in any way—we honor you.
We also recognize that this day can be a difficult one for some, and our hearts are with you.
What's happening this month?
Our May Village Support Meeting with be Sunday, May 3rd, from 4-5:00 PM. We are partnering with the Transition Team from Iredell-Statesville Schools. This meeting is open to families of students of all ages. Whether your child is in preschool or preparing to age out of the public school system, it’s never too early or too late to begin planning for their next steps.
Families outside of the I/SS District are encouraged to attend. You may possibly leave the meeting with questions and ideas for your home district.
Can you volunteer on a committee a few hours each month?
Would you be willing to share a few hours each month? We are forming committees to help specifically with fundraising and event planning. Prayerfully consider joining us as we continue to provide opportunities for our adults!
Specific Roles for Immediate Impact
We look forward to filling two specific roles within Laura's Village immediately: Bookkeeper and Grant Writer. Please know that both positions will require an interview, references, and background check.
