Superintendent Update
Windham School District | November

Friday, August 16, 2024
Dear Parents/Guardians:
Can you believe we’re just two weeks away from the start of the school year? To our new families joining us, welcome to our district! I will share updates each week to keep our school community informed of events, activities, and opportunities. The following updates will focus on providing information to assist everyone in transitioning smoothly back to school. If you need to revisit any information, my weekly updates will be available on our website. Additionally, starting Friday, August 23rd, our building leaders will send out more specific details relevant to each school. If you have any questions before then, please feel free to contact your child’s school leader.
Community
NEASC Accreditation: The Windham School District proudly announces that every school in our district is now fully accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). This is one more example of our district’s commitment to educational excellence. The Windham School District is one of the few school districts in New England to have achieved the honor of a districtwide accreditation. This accomplishment reflects the dedication and hard work of our educators, staff, students, Windham School Board, and the Windham community. For more information, please visit our website.
New District-level Leadership: We are thrilled to introduce the newest members of our district’s leadership team. Please see the attached document for more details, and join us in welcoming them aboard!
K-8 School Supply Lists: Make sure to secure school supplies for next year. The complete list of requested supplies by grade can be found here.
September District-wide Calendar: The district-wide calendar of events for September is now available.
Volunteer Process: Our volunteers are a critical component of our school district's success, and we appreciate and thank them for their time and commitment! Beginning in late August, returning designated volunteers will receive notifications from the online training system. If you are interested in volunteering or are new to our district, please follow the process outlined on our website. If you have any questions about this process, please email hr@windhamsd.org.
Communications
Stay Connected: Our district and schools are active on multiple social media platforms, so make sure you follow us for live updates.
2024-25 Calendar: Mark your calendar for all school vacation weeks, half days, and holidays scheduled for this school year.
Transportation
Bus Routes: The district bus routes for the 2024-25 school year will be available on Monday. Please be on the lookout for a separate message once they are live.
Technology
InfoSnap: Registration Verification for the upcoming 24-25 school year is now available. This year, you will use the PowerSchool Parent Portal to access Registration. Please check your primary parent's email for more details. For PowerSchool portal assistance, please complete this form. For Registration Verification questions, you can email infosnap@windhamsd.org for assistance from Windham's tech department.
Electronic Payment Options: The Windham School District has transitioned electronic payments for school fees (such as laptop fees, Chromebooks, etc.) to Vanco RevTrak. If you plan to set up an electronic payment option through Vanco, please follow these instructions after logging into the PowerSchool Parent Portal. LINQ Connect will continue to be our payment platform for food nutrition services, which you can access through PowerSchool and the mobile app.
I hope these details help your family transition smoothly back to school. In the meantime, if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me or your building-level leaders. We are here to support you. Here’s to another successful school year.
Enjoy your weekend,
Dr. Kori Alice Becht
