Message from Nicole Pease, Principal

Hello DCS families, I hope you are having a great week. It has been lovely having Justin Melle here with Art. It has been lovely to have a little snow on the ground which allowed students to do some sledding and to make some snow angels. Come on Mother Nature! Have a lovely weekend, Nicole

Drop off and Pick up Reminders

Due to our small parking lot, I want to remind everyone about the importance of the flow of traffic. Please di not turn around in front of the building, instead go all the way around. I know it may take a few extra minutes due to other cars or the bus dropping off or picking up, but safety has to be our priority. Please remember too, that if the bus's lights are flashing, you should not pass them. Let's continue to work together to keep everyone safe. Thank you!

Art Week at DCS

It was great to be back for a second visit to Dublin Elementary School. We took some time to consider a sampling of favorite works from art history. The students especially appreciated Tutankhamun's Gold Mask, The Starry Night, and Georgia O’Keeffe’s Ram's Head. We noticed the use of contrasting colors, rhythmic lines, and creative ways to show light. Students put their inspiration to action as they composed beautiful paintings.

Thank you for supporting creativity!

Bus concern

Message from Robin Gregg, School Counselor

The holiday season is a time of many emotions. In addition to feelings of anticipation, excitement, and happiness, many children also feel stress, anxiety, and disappointment at this time of year. At DCS we try to anticipate the full array of feelings our students may experience. We work to keep things calm and low-key and we use the same routines and support we provide to the children throughout the school year. As always, I welcome communication from you, our students’ families. Please reach out to me and/or your child(ren)’s teacher if you wish to share any concerns. I hope that the coming weeks bring all of you some quiet moments and a chance to experience feelings of wonder and joy.
