The LMS Express
June 7, 2025
Hello all,
It's hard to believe that there are only a few days left of school! Next week's schedule is packed - Step-Up Day, Field Day, Field Trips, Yearbooks, and then the 7th & 8th Grade Recognition Ceremony to finish off the year.
On behalf of all of us here at LMS, I'd like to thank our students and families for a fantastic year. The energy, creativity, and quirkiness of our students makes the challenging work we do fun and rewarding. The support of our families helps our students see that we're all on the same page, working to help them grow and mature as they spend time at LMS.
This will be the last LMS Express of the year - I hope everyone has a great summer!
Be Well,
Tom

LMS Community Tree
The LMS Community Tree has bloomed magnificently this year! Each leaf on the tree represents the good deed of a member of the LMS community - both students and adults. These good deeds were recognized by someone else, and a leaf was placed on the tree to celebrate it. We have well over 200 leaves on our tree, and this number is just a fraction of the good deeds that go on every day at LMS. We can't catch em all!

LMS Art News
LMS Mural Crew
The Mural Crew has continued adding to the Lebanon tunnel mural, bringing more life and detail to the project. In addition, Rob Robbirds and Dan Schachtner are now assisting with the next phase, which involves constructing the bus windows and door. These will be framed panels that can be updated periodically, allowing the mural to grow and evolve.
Next school year, there will be multiple opportunities for students to learn about mural-making and contribute to this collaborative LMS project. Mr. Masi will lead trips to the tunnel for ongoing work and will teach an Art Elective class focused on public art.

PARENTS AND GUARDIANS, THANK YOU!!
Thank you to all the parents/guardians who have answered my emails and calls this year! Thank you for communicating with me and keeping me up to date on your students injuries, concussions, medical issues, medications, emotional struggles and/or successes etc. This open communication has made caring for your child(ren) much easier and clearer, and helped me to provide the safest care to your child(ren.) It has been made clear to me time and time again that you care about your students, and it has been a pleasure to support them here at Lebanon Middle School.
*Friendly reminders:
~ updated physicals are required in the state of NH for students in grades 7, 9 and 11.
~updated action plans are needed every school year (asthma, allergies, seizures), so if your student has one on file in the health office, I will need a new one for the fall.
~please feel free to email me with any questions at kgage@sau88.net, but know that I will not be checking my email on a daily basis this summer, so I may not get back to you right away.
Have a safe and restful summer!

Pine Team News
ABC Countdown in Mrs. Lemelin's class
Pine team has been participating in an ABC countdown til the last day of school. The images captured here were on Minute to Win it and Reading fort days. We played A Bit Dicey and Dizzy Mummy for Minute to Win it games. Students tried to stack 6 dice on a craft stick in their mouth. For Dizzy Mummy, they had to wrap a willing participant in toilet paper without tearing the paper.
Reading forts were so much fun to build with friends. We also completed our social studies and math tasks using them.
Exploring the USA, One Region at a Time!
This month, fifth-graders have been diving into the different regions of the United States. Using atlases to guide our learning, we labeled and colored maps to better understand the geography, landmarks, and unique features of each region.
