"Inspiring Every Student, Through Every Experience, Every Day!" "Inspiring Every Student, Through Every Experience, Every Day!"

Dear Families,

We cannot believe it is April and we only have a two full months until school is over. Even though the weather is getting nicer and summer is coming closer we have a lot of learning still going on in our building. Attendance is still very important in insuring your child has the opportunity to learn in the classroom. Remember each year the goal is to always have less than 10 absences. We allow for 10 parental excused absences in a school year. After the 10 a medical note will be required. The best practice is to always send a doctor's note in if your child is absent.

Students in grades 3-5 will be participating in the Wisconsin Forward Exam during the testing starting April 7. State assessments, including the Forward Exam, are required by both Wisconsin State Law (Wis. Stat. § 118.30) and the Federal Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). Our school is scheduled to administer the exam during this period. All testing will be done in the morning since we find students are more able to focus. Please try to schedule appointments around the testing if possible.

The Forward Exam assesses students in the following areas:

  • Grades 3-5: English Language Arts (ELA) and Math

  • Grade 4 only: Science and Social Studies

No Pets on School Property

Just a friendly reminder that, for everyone’s safety and comfort, pets should not be brought onto school grounds or into school buildings. We love our furry friends, but we ask that they stay at home during school hours, arrival, dismissal and events. Thank you for helping us keep our school a safe and welcoming place for all! (Board Policy PO8390)
