Reflection...
What a week, Cedar Grove! Huge pride and gratitude for the amazing talent showcased across campus.
The week kicked off with a major win: our Robotics Team was featured on CBS Sunday Morning! Seriously awesome innovation and teamwork on a national stage. If you missed it, see below for the link!
The biggest highlight was definitely our Annual Winter Arts Showcase! 🎨🎶 The creativity was off the charts. The Visual Arts exhibit showed mind-blowing skill and vision. Plus, our Orchestra, Band, and Choral groups crushed it, filling the auditorium with high-quality, festive music.
Huge thanks to the incredible advisors who made it happen: Ms. Jessen, Mr. Savino, Ms. Slane, and Ms. Vogel. A massive shout-out to all the musicians and artists who shared their gifts, and the families who showed up to cheer them on! Your support is everything.
CGHS Gives Back!
A huge thank you to HOSA, Key Club, and all the student "upstanders" who stepped up to help! Together, they delivered over 25 bags of food to the Holy Spirit food pantry in Verona. This school-wide project was a fantastic display of the generosity and heart that defines the CGHS community.
Holiday Open House
CGHS Choir members went caroling at the annual Cedar Grove Historical Society Holiday Open House at Morgan Farm on Sunday December 7.
Cedar Grove Robotics Visits CBS Morning Program
After reading an article in TapInto Verona/Cedar Grove, John Elliott from CBS News invited the Cedar Grove Robotics Team into the studio to talk about their recent win at an international competition in Cleveland, Ohio. The team and their parents were treated to a tour of the entire floor, including stops on the Drew Barrymore and John Oliver sets. The tour also included a visit to the control room where the students learned about automation in broadcasting and how robots have made it much easier to produce TV shows. See their interview HERE

National Honor Society Peer Tutoring
Need a Tutor? The National Honor Society Cedar Grove High School offers Peer Tutoring for all
high-school students (you do not need to be a member of NHS to request a peer tutor). If you
would like to request a peer tutor, please follow the procedure below and check out the peer
tutoring catalog in the attachments for the students name, availability, and subjects they are
offering to teach. We have an amazing group of Senior NHS tutors who are eager to tutor your
student/child.
Procedures:
â—Ź Students should contact their teacher for additional assistance.
â—Ź Teachers/Counselors may recommend students try the National Honors Society peer
tutoring program.
â—Ź Teachers may share this catalog with students in need of tutoring, and the student may
select a tutor that they believe will be a good fit for them. Please keep in mind that many
students tutor in multiple subjects (and many students tutor in the same subject), so try
to find who you feel will be the best fit for your needs.
â—Ź Contact Ms.Halawani by email to notify her of your tutor preference BEFORE contacting
the tutor. If a teacher/counselor is contacting Ms. Halawani on behalf of a student,
please include the student in the email.
● After confirming tutor availability with Ms.Halawani copy down your tutor’s contact
information from the catalog.
â—Ź Contact your tutor to schedule your sessions.
â—Ź Report back to Ms. Halawani informing her of when you are holding tutoring sessions.
Note: Any conflicts/issues should be reported to Ms Halawani: halawani.mirna@cgshools.org
