Wiggin Street Parent Update

Families,

What an amazing week we had continuing to build relationships with students and teaching expectations for positive behavior during our PBIS Kickoff. It was wonderful having all the kindergarten students together today, and they enjoyed learning how to use playground equipment appropriately from their 3rd grade buddies this afternoon.

Students were greeted this morning by the Kenyon women’s soccer team and the tennis team. This afternoon, we held an assembly where students learned that my most important job is to keep them safe—and that is why we practice PBIS expectations. Together, we learned a new chant and hung their constellations to see them shining brightly when the lights were turned off. Each star on their constellation represented an expectation they practiced—at recess, in the cafeteria, in the bathroom, in the hallways, and in the classroom.

We hope your children had as much fun as we did this week! Don’t forget that our Spirit Wear Online Sale ends September 1st. What a great way to show your school spirit!

Sincerely,
Christy Grandstaff
Principal, Wiggin Street Elementary
