Principal's Message Principal's Message

Vinewood Families,

Thank you for an AMAZING short week together! Even with only a few days on campus, our Vinewood community packed the week with connection, celebration, learning, and plenty of Mustang HEART!

A huge thank you to all of the families who were able to join us for Lunch with a Loved One. It was such a wonderful success, and we loved seeing our campus filled with families spending time together. If you weren’t able to join us this time, don’t worry, we will have another Lunch with a Loved One on May 19!

We also had such a fantastic evening at Mustang Night Out! What a special opportunity to come together as a Mustang community, celebrate our school, and make memories. A very special THANK YOU to our AMAZING Parent Club for making this event possible and for getting our ordered FREE shirts into our students’ hands. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who supported Mustang Night Out, whether you donated, attended, volunteered, or contributed in another way. Our Vinewood community showed up in a BIG way!

And what a fun way to end the week! On Friday, our students participated in a STEAM Assembly with Science Alliance. Our Mustangs had the opportunity to explore, wonder, and learn through hands-on science experiences. Be sure to check out the pictures below.

We have another fun and exciting week ahead!

  • Tuesday:
    • Student Council Meeting at 7:30 AM in Pod D
  • Wednesday: MINIMUM DAY
    • TK & Kindergarten students come early at 8:00 AM
    • Fancy Day! Dress up in your fanciest attire, selected by our Student Council.
    • Family STEAM Night — 5:00–7:00 PM! We can’t wait to welcome our families back to campus for an evening of exploring, creating, experimenting, and having fun together!
  • Thursday:
    • ELAC Meeting — 8:30 AM: We invite all parents and families of our English Learners to join us. Your voice and partnership are so important to us!
    • 6th Grade Science Camp Parent Meeting — 6:00 PM: All 6th grade parents/guardians of students attending Science Camp this October are invited to join our teachers for an informational meeting.

Thank you, as always, for being such an important part of our Vinewood family. The energy and support of our Mustang community continues to make these first weeks of school so special. We are looking forward to another wonderful week of learning, connection, and HEART with our Mustangs!

    Sincerely,

    Alyssa Barban, Principal
