eMotional Robots
SEL + Augmented Reality + Art Resources
What pushes your buttons?
When robots are switched on, triggers are set, and buttons are pushed. Lots of eMotions are likely to follow. Use these SEL eMotional Robot Resources to help your students talk about the things that make you feel every which way. Then scan the images to see the eMotions comes to life with AR using the free Eyejack Edu app. One code activates everything.
I Finally Explained How it All Works
I've been asked over and over again to explain how to teach students to make art, make art move with animation, then make it come to life with augmented reality. This lesson has everything you need including handouts and a video tutorial to make robot paintings come to life with free iPad apps and a free desktop app.
Emotional Robot Mood Meter or Color Wheel
It's okay to feel any which way
When robots are switched on, triggers are set, and buttons are pushed. Lots of eMotions are likely to follow. Use this SEL discussion starter roll game to help talk about the things that make you feel every which way. Print and build a cube that features 6 emotional robots that come to life with the free app, Eyejack Edu, with augmented reality by scanning the QR code. Use this along with my discussion starter guide (with useful vocabulary) to help students talk about the things that make them feel every which way.
The eMotional Robot Story
PETER O'METER is an eMotional robot. Actually, this book was inspired by these robot paintings and augmented reality animations. The publisher saw them on the wall in my office during my book pitch and asked if I would like to write a book based on the concept. In this fully augmented interactive story, PETER asks the reader to help him decide which button on his eMotion panel to push for each situation he finds himself during the day. This story asks kids to actively empathize and identify feelings while delighting them with a playful rhyming story filled with colorful illustrations.
