Weekly Newsletter 11/22

Good afternoon!
Ms. Baker and I are so thankful for every one of your children and the love that they pour into our classrooms! We are going to miss you kids so much, but they deserve a break. They have been working so hard! We are so proud of them!! The end of 2024 and the end of second quarter will be here before we know it. Please see details about our second quarter big event below.
A few notes below:
Second Quarter Big Event:
Our second quarter big event will be here before we know it. This quarter it will be during the last week of school before Christmas break. In order for students to be able to participate in the big event, they must have all of their work completed and have no office referrals . This means, any students who has missing work or has had an office referral at the time of the big event will not be able to participate.
Christmas Toy Drive
When: Nov.4-Dec. 4
What: Bring a toy in for a 10-12 year old
Why: Help out our community by donating toys for families during Christmas time
Where: Drop off toys at the front office (keep them unwrapped)
Perfect Attendance Contest:
Inman is putting on a perfect attendance contest! Score the most touchdowns throughout 2nd quarter! The 5th and 6th grade class with the most points at the end of the quarter will win a class-wide tailgating party! The party will include pizza, football squishies, and yard games!
Reading Practice:
If you and your family are able to find a time that your child can sit and read for even 10 short minutes, that would greatly benefit their reading stamina. I have attached a reading log below, if that is something that might help at home.
Math Practice:
I also highly recommend each student practice their multiplication and division facts for a few minutes each day/ week. The more fluent they are the easier math will be for them this year!
