Meet Our New Literacy Coach: Kelli Cook

I have been teaching pre-K through third grade for 15 years in Boston, Detroit, and then Lansing. I currently live in DeWitt with my husband and our two kids, 6 and 8. We also have a sweet fluffball dog named Charlie, who helps us foster animals from Michigan Humane Society and Capitol Area Humane Society. I love to learn new languages, actively participate in my community, read science fiction, play board games, and bake with my kids. As an educator, I believe that education should be accessible to every student and that teachers are a precious resource.

Fifty-one teachers from across Clinton County came together at CCRESA on June 14, 2022, to learn all about the resource, Picture Perfect STEM! Thanks to grant funds, teachers are receiving their own set of 30 picture books and each school received the materials needed for the students to engage in the lessons.

As the school year gets going, please don't hesitate to reach out to Ashley Windnagle (awindnagle@ccresa.org), Cecilia Stajos (cstajos@ccresa.org) or Kelli Cook (kcook@ccresa.org) with questions on implementation and support in utilizing the resources in the best way for your buildings.
