Meadowview Families,

We had so much to celebrate this week! Our students were thrilled to welcome the high school for our Wings Up Pep Rally, and the energy and school spirit were absolutely contagious. Then, of course, we capped off the week with our Walk-a-Thon—and WOW! Together, our Meadowview community raised more than $32,000!

Our students enjoyed the beautiful weather, cheering each other on, and, of course, getting the chance to dunk Mrs. Ward in the dunking booth! A huge thank-you to our Meadowview PTA for sponsoring such a fun event and to every family, friend, and community member who donated and helped make this fundraiser such an incredible success. Your generosity will make a lasting impact on our students and our school!

And the fun doesn’t stop there! Be sure to look for information coming home about our Candy Wars, with all that candy going toward our Harvest Carnival on October 23rd. Scroll down for more details about this event, including how to purchase tickets and an opportunity to sign up for Trunk or Treat!

Please take a few minutes to log in to PowerSchool and complete your child's required back-to-school forms as soon as possible. Keeping your contact information and emergency contacts up to date is essential so we can reach you quickly if your child becomes ill, there is an emergency, or important information needs to be shared.

In addition, students must have their required PowerSchool forms completed before they can participate in field trips. Completing these forms now will help ensure your child is ready to enjoy all of the exciting learning experiences planned throughout the school year. As we begin the new school year, we ask that families make every effort to pay school fees as soon as possible. School fees help support classroom materials, instructional resources, and student learning experiences that directly benefit our children throughout the year.

Paying fees early also helps us ensure that these resources are available from the very beginning of the school year. If your family has questions about your balance or needs assistance, please don't hesitate to contact our school office. We're happy to help and work with you.

• Student school fees are available to pay online through PaySchools Central. Here is the link to the site. This is also where you are able to add funds to your child's lunch/breakfast account. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the main office.

Milford Schools is updating attendance practices to comply with Ohio House Bill 96, which includes new requirements for how schools track absences, notify families, and support students who miss school.

Parents and guardians should notify the school within one hour of the start of the school day when a student will be absent.

Under the district’s updated attendance procedures, parents may excuse up to eight absences per school year without a doctor’s note. After eight parent-excused absences, medical documentation is required for future absences to be excused.

Milford Schools partners with Fuel for Flight to provide weekend food bags for students in grades K–12 whose families could benefit from additional food assistance. Participation is completely voluntary.

If your family needs support, please complete the online enrollment form by August 28. The form is submitted directly to Fuel for Flight, and a separate form must be completed for each child you wish to enroll.
