We were just below the district average this week! All students with perfect attendance receive a special treat on Friday! We love celebrating our students so please make sure they come to school each day. If your child reports to school all 5 days next week they will receive the weekly surprise.

3rd Graders will take the IREAD-3 Assessment during the week of March 11- 15. This is a critical statewide standardized assessment. The Indiana Reading Evaluation and Determination (IREAD-3) assessment measures foundational reading standards to Grade 3 students each spring. Based on the Indiana Academic Standards, IREAD-3 is a summative assessment that was developed in accordance with House Enrolled Act 1367 (also known as Public Law 109 in 2010). Parents please return all borrowed clothing from the school due to spill, restroom accident, puddles or sickness. We need those sizes for the next time for your child or for another student especially pants sizes 6-12. Please consider donating pants your child has grown out of. We try to provide clothes so parents or grandparents do not have to leave their job or home to bring in clothes. Thank you it is greatly appreciated.

3rd and 4th Graders will take the new statewide assessment called ILEARN. This is the assessment that has replaced ISTEP. The ILEARN testing window opens on Monday, April 22. ILEARD measures student achievement and growth according to Indiana Academic Standards. ILEARN is the summative accountability assessment for Indiana students and assesses the areas of Language Arts and Math. MSD WARREN TOWNSHIP EXCEL PROGRAM FOR 2019-2020

Mission Statement: The EXCEL Program is designed to meet the unique academic and affective needs of highly talented students through a cooperative, enriched, and accelerated academic program where each person feels significant and appreciated.

The curriculum in the EXCEL program is differentiated and faster paced. Students will work above grade level.

The Parent Recommendation form must be completed by March 31, 2019.

Information regarding school delay/closing can be obtained by listening to your favorite radio or TV station. Our automated calling system will call the home of all students using the number you have supplied to the school. Call will occur as early as 5:30am and will report either delays or closings due to the weather. You can also go to www.warren.k12.in.us for closing info.

It’s that time of year when we need to remind student to make sure they have appropriate clothing for recess. The district policy states students will be going outside for recess if the temperature and the wind chill are above 20 degrees. We have extra coats, hats, and gloves for students in need. Please contact the front office if you need assistance.

Students must go outside unless we have a doctor statement.
