Hello Broadmoor Families and WELCOME to our 18 new Wildcats! We have families from across the nation moving to Louisburg and we were so delighted to meet them this this week. One common response from all the families was..."Wow, what a great school this is!" I cannot explain how much those words fill us with pride at BES! It is our home away from home and all the staff want to make it the very BESt! It is our mission to make you proud to send your children to us each and every day!
Back-to-School Night and Community Fair
We look forward to seeing you this Wednesday night!
The classroom visits are from 6-7pm and the Community Fair is 6-8pm.
Classrooms will be open right at 6pm, not prior. It is very much an 'open house' style format, so please come and enjoy the Community Fair as well. We will have maps and staff available to direct you in the right direction upon arrival. It is helpful if you know your child's teacher names, but if not we'll have class rosters and can send you on your journey!
Glow Bash
Each year we have a fun event that helps us raise money for all of our fun at BES! This includes special activities like our Super Bowl party, field trip expenses, incentives and prizes for our students, and more! On Back-to-School night, you will receive information and a packet for donations. We ask that students ask for donations and return the envelope to school before or on the evening of our event, September 7th. That night, we will take over the Wildcat Stadium with music, games, and dancing! We will have food trucks available for you and tons of awesome Glow Bash Gear! It's a really fun night!
School Supplies
The School Supply list is below. If your family is in need of assistance with supplies, please give us a call! We have many resources for all supplies from backpacks to glue sticks to new shoes!
Staff Goes Back!
Our teachers return tomorrow, August 5th and their days are full of professional development, meetings, and work time to prepare for the school year. I ask that you respect this short amount of time they are given to prepare. Our RES second graders were able to come, visit, and tour in the Spring, so I know they are ready! Parents, you may be a little nervous, but your kids will do great and we will take great care of them! The first day of school is exciting and it is typical for our students and staff to have butterflies!
This is the week to begin getting back into the routine so next week isn't so hard!
Reach out if you need assistance or ideas. Here are some tips that are helpful,
I even use some of them!
1. Start laying out what your kids will wear the night before
2. Begin bedtime routines
3. Begin morning routines
4. Start adding typical activities in the evening like
reading for 20 minutes, practicing math facts, etc.
5. If your child brings cold lunch, practice opening packages and containers.
This next week, look for emails and Facebook posts regarding pick-up/drop-off!
