Reminder: Open House
We are excited to welcome you to our Open House on Wednesday, September 2nd! To help make your visit as smooth and enjoyable as possible, we ask that you arrive during the time slot listed above for your family’s last name. This will help ease parking congestion and create a more relaxed experience for everyone.
Teacher assignments are available in ParentVUE as of August 28th. We encourage you to check your child’s assignment ahead of time so you can visit their classroom and meet their teacher during Open House. Families of Grades 1-5 are invited to drop off school supplies in their classrooms during open house. (Kindergarten families are encouraged to bring school supplies to their scheduled family meeting the next week.)
In addition to classroom visits, please stop by the Gym to gather helpful school information and visit the Media Center to learn more about our Schoolwide Title program. We look forward to connecting with you and starting the year together!
Parent Handbook
Helpful information about many topics from attendance to school hours to parent drop off and pick up can be found in this handbook. These booklets will be distributed during open house.
Student Device Policy: Cell Phones, Smartwatches, & Bluetooth Devices
Student Device Policy
In support of our district’s goal of increasing student focus and reducing distractions, all personal electronic devices—including cell phones, smartwatches, wireless earbuds, and other Bluetooth devices—must be powered off and out of sight throughout the entire school day, including class time, passing time, recess, and lunch.
Keeping personal devices put away allows students to be more engaged, present, and focused on learning. It also helps reduce distractions and the potential negative impact of social media and other digital interactions during the school day.
Device Storage and Responsibility
Students are expected to keep personal electronic devices at home whenever possible. If a student brings a device to school, it is the student’s responsibility to ensure that it remains powered off and out of sight for the entire school day.
If a device is used or is not stored according to this policy, it may be secured in the school office, and a parent or guardian may be required to pick it up.
The school is not responsible for lost, misplaced, or stolen personal electronic devices. For this reason, we strongly recommend that students leave cell phones, smartwatches, earbuds, and other personal electronic devices at home.
Thank you for partnering with us to create a focused, connected, and positive learning environment where all students can learn and thrive.
