Reminders, Updates and Announcements!
Here are a few reminders, updates, and announcements:
- The students will continue taking the iReady Diagnostic this week. Most students still need additional time to complete the Math Diagnostic. Please remind them to bring their chromebooks to school fully charged every day. If they have earbuds or headphones, they are welcome to use them for testing.
- This week students will bring home a Parent Survey to help improve Willard's programs and services related to discipline and social/emotional support. Please fill out and return this form to school with your child. The students will also bring home graded homework packets and math quizzes.
- Pasadena Educational Foundation (PEF) Grant - I applied for and received a $1000 grant to purchase culturally responsive read aloud books with diverse characters written by diverse authors to support social emotional learning (SEL). The books will include topics such as having empathy for others, managing emotions, peserverance, conflict resolution, and problem solving. We will read and have discussions surrounding these topics in class to support students SEL.
- FREE Tutoring - PUSD will begin providing after school tutoring at school sites including Willard.
