What Would the Operating Levy Cost Your Household?

With Election Day approaching, many residents are asking how the proposed operating levy would affect their household budget.

If approved, the levy would provide $800 per student each year for 10 years, with annual inflation adjustments. The funding would help maintain manageable class sizes, retain quality teachers and staff, preserve essential student programs, and keep buildings safe and secure.

We’re committed to responsible spending and keeping the request as low as possible while meeting students’ needs. For a home valued at $350,000, the estimated cost is $21 per month, or $247 per year, beginning in 2027. Visit 622Forward.org to calculate the estimated impact on your property.

Households with total incomes under $139,320 may also qualify for the Minnesota Property Tax Refund.

Learn more and get the facts before Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 3, at 622Forward.org.
