A TIGERIFIC SUCCESS!
WOW Tigers! We have met and surpassed our school-wide goal of $65,000 by raising over $80,000 and achieving 100% registration! We’ve also reached participation in all 50 states, as well as Canada, the UK, New Zealand, and Sweden. Way to go, TEAM!!
A heartfelt thank you to all the Wildwood families, teachers, students and volunteers who helped make the Jog-A-Thon such a huge success. (And a Tigerific THANK YOU to Sarah Buchanan who headed up this effort with her all-volunteer PTA committee!) The kids had such an amazing time participating in the event and appreciated all the amazing signs and cheers from their families and friends. This truly is an incredible Wildwood community!
Don't forget - fundraising doesn’t stop with the Jog-A-Thon! You can still raise money over Spring Break. The last day for donations is Tuesday, April 14. We will collect the envelopes one final time on this day. Envelopes will not be returned.
We will announce all winners at our All-School Pep Rally on Friday, April 24!
Take some time this Spring Break to celebrate, relax, and enjoy the beauty around us. You've earned it!
Go Tigers!

Wildwood Enrollment Projection Form
In order to properly plan classes and staffing for the 2026-2027 school year, we are requesting that ALL families who currently have a child attending Wildwood Elementary please complete THIS FORM. If you have more than 1 child currently attending Wildwood, please complete a separate form for each child. This form should take less than 1 minute to complete.
Families of 5th grade students do NOT need to complete this form for your 5th grade student because we are already aware that they will be moving on.
Short-Term Independent Study (STIS) Update
Short-Term Independent Study (STIS) will end at Spring Break. In accordance with district guidelines, elementary schools will NOT offer STIS beginning April 13 through the end of this school year.
If your child will be absent after Spring Break, please report the absence to the attendance line as usual. We kindly ask families to plan vacations and trips outside of school days whenever possible.
Please contact the front office if you have any questions.
Head Lice Information for Families
Head lice are common among school-aged children and are not considered a health emergency. Wildwood follows CVUSD guidelines that focus on early detection, proper treatment, and keeping students in class whenever possible. Regular head checks at home, along with simple cleaning steps, are the most effective ways to manage lice. Our staff is always available to support families and answer any questions.

Volunteers Needed for our 2026-27 SSC Team
The purpose of the School Site Council is to encourage improvements to meet the educational, personal, and career needs of ALL the students at the school through a collaborative decision-making process.
Currently, we have openings for the following positions on our 2026-27 SSC team:
- District Advisory Council (DAC) Representatives (several openings)
The commitment is usually just 1-2 hours per month, but the impact is significant. Please connect with me to ask questions or express interest at klynch@conejousd.org. To learn more about School Site Council on your own and/or submit a self-nomination form, click HERE. We would like to have our 2026-2027 SSC team in place before our we leave for summer break.
Spring Safety Tip: Be Snake Aware
As the weather warms up, we want to remind families that this is also the time of year when snakes become more active in our area. We encourage everyone to be mindful when walking to and from school or spending time in nearby parks and open spaces. Please remind your children to stay on designated paths, avoid tall grass or brush, and never approach or touch a snake.
All staff, including our campus supervisors and P.E. specialists, are aware and remain on alert at all times, actively monitoring the school grounds to help ensure student safety.
Seniors and Grandparents Welcome at Wildwood
Do you have a parent, grandparent, or special adult in your family who enjoys working with kids and getting a little creative? We’d love their help with our CREATE Program! Every Wednesday during first recess, students have the option to visit the MPR to design and build with recycled materials—and we’re looking for a few friendly volunteers to assist with simple cutting, taping, and lots of encouragement. Volunteers are needed from 9:15a.m.–10:45 a.m. every Wednesday. If you know a grandparent or senior citizen in our community who might enjoy being part of this joyful, hands-on experience, please pass along the invitation and contact the school for more information.
Coming Soon: TK-2nd Grade Author Visit
Author-Illustrator Ross Burach will be visiting Wildwood Elementary on Tuesday, April 28th to share about his picture books and art with our TK, 1st, and 2nd grade students. If you would like a signed and personalized book, please order using the form below by Friday, April 24th.
