📣 Weekly Announcements & Reminders 💙
We are off to a wonderful start to the new semester! This is already our second week back, and the atmosphere on campus has been so positive. Our students have returned with great attitudes, and it has been encouraging to see classrooms full of energy, focus, and joy. Our teachers and students are settling back into routines, and it truly feels like a great season of learning at BAS.
This week we will be doing MAP testing, which helps us understand student growth and guide instruction. Please help your child do their best by making sure they get plenty of sleep, eat a good breakfast, and arrive at school on time. A little extra preparation goes a long way!
We also have basketball games this week, and we love seeing our Bobcats out there working hard, supporting each other, and representing BAS with great sportsmanship.
Thank you for partnering with us as we continue building a strong, focused, and joyful semester together.
Reminders
Hot Lunch Volunteers - If we do not fill the volunteer spots, we will have to cancel hot lunch for that day. Please check the newsletter every Sunday for updates and volunteer opportunities.
No Jewelry Policy- As stated in the BAS Student Handbook: “Students are not permitted to wear jewelry, including earrings, necklaces, bracelets, or rings, as part of maintaining a safe and focused learning environment.” Please help your student comply with this policy.
đźš— Pickup Procedures - Parking and walking up instead of driving through the pickup line is reserved for emergency pickups only. Please remain in the drive-through line when picking up your student. The line moves faster than it appears, and your cooperation helps keep dismissal safe and smooth. Thank you for your patience and understanding!
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord.”

🌟 Coming Soon: Social-Emotional Learning at BAS! 🌟
We’re thrilled to share that Burleson Adventist School will soon be introducing an engaging Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) program called Peekapak! SEL helps students grow in important life skills like self-awareness, empathy, communication, and problem-solving—skills that support not just academics, but kindness, confidence, and positive relationships both in and out of the classroom.
Peekapak uses story-based lessons and activities that connect learning with literacy and everyday interactions, making SEL meaningful and fun for students. It also includes resources to help families reinforce these skills at home, strengthening the partnership between school and home as we work together to support your child’s whole growth.
Stay tuned for more details on how this program will roll out and how you can be involved!
