Weekly Update April 10, 2026

From the Principal From the Principal

Welcome back to school for the 4th quarter! Things move fast this time of year, and it can be difficult to keep up. Please make sure that you read these newsletters every week for important information.

We will be doing our ARK Religion testing starting next week. This will help us measure students in their knowledge of religion and give us some feedback on areas of focus. We will do the remaining Language Arts and Math testing in May for our end of year growth measurements.

We are also participating in Movers for Moms with Two Men and A Truck. Thank you to those that have already contributed! We will be collecting for the entire month of April. Collection boxes are at both entrances to the school. See more information below. Last year we were very successful and all the donations stay right in Freeport!

The April lunch menu is at the bottom of the newsletter, and it is also posted to our school calendar on the website.

The weather is warming up (finally!) and starting next week on April 13th, students can wear uniform shorts if they desire. Please remember that the weather around here changes quickly and we will still try go outside if the temperatures dip some.

Have a great weekend!

Mrs. Heitkamp

Movers for Moms Movers for Moms

We are once again partnering with Two Men and a Truck for Movers for Moms. This year the recipients of the donations are the Madonna Renewal Center (blue nuns) and the Salvation Army of Freeport. Both worthy causes. I am attaching their wish lists so that you can participate as much as you are able.

The Salvation Army is looking for non-perishable food items. These are similar to the food collection that we did earlier in the year. Any and all donations are appreciated.

The Madonna Renewal Center list includes clothing items and such that can be gently used and in good condition. So, during Spring Break you may want to go through the closets and find things that you no longer need and donate them! Spring cleaning and a donation to a good cause are a great way to begin Spring!

The collection will run during the entire month of April. We appreciate your generosity!
