Enjoy FREE food provided by The Ranch House (thank you for their generous donation!). Visit your child’s classroom from 4:00–5:00 pm, learn more about Community Schools, and take time to connect with community members and explore available resources.

Cooking with Kids hosted a community garden and greenhouse clean-up day this past Friday! A big thank you to the parents, grandparents, teachers, and students who showed up to give our garden some much-needed TLC.

Join us this Wednesday at our Back to School BBQ, where Cooking with Kids will have a table set up. Stop by to learn more about their program, meet our new instructor, tour their classroom, garden, and greenhouse, and sign up for our garden club! The club is open to students, teachers, staff, parents, grandparents, and community members. Help us maintain our garden as we grow and harvest together!

Preliminary data from a California study found that children who were chronically absent in kindergarten and 1st grade were far less likely to read proficiently at the end of 3rd grade."
