Student Activities & Events

We are excited to offer several opportunities for students to stay engaged:

• Our fine arts programs are preparing for upcoming performances.

• April 30 - PTA fundraiser

• May 6 - 6th grade field trip

• May 12 - 7th grade field trip

• May 20 - 8th grade field trip

Reminders

• Dress code policies remain in effect, please ensure your child is in compliance.

• Devices should be used responsibly and according to school guidelines.

• Please ensure that fidget tools are brought to school only for their intended purpose to support focus and learning and are used appropriately. They should not be brought to campus as toys or for play.

• Encourage your child to stay organized and keep up with assignments as deadlines approach

Mrs. Iozzi, Ms. Jean and Mrs. Swindell got to participate in a scavenger hunt by going to each department to obtain prizes for their basket. SMS is thankful for these ladies!

Current 8th Grade Students,

If you are interested in running for Sunnyvale High School Student Council for the upcoming school year, it’s time to start the application process!

Student Council is a great opportunity to get involved, build leadership skills, and have a voice in shaping events and activities on campus. We encourage all motivated and responsible students in grades 8–11 to consider applying.

To run for Student Council, you must:

• Complete the official application form
• Carefully review all requirements and expectations outlined in the application

Application Deadline: Sunday, May 3

All application materials must be submitted by this date in order to be considered. Late submissions will not be accepted.

In honor of teacher appreciation week, students can dress up with staff.

SMS Raider Nation will be volunteering at the Dallas SPCA on May 7, and they are collecting donations to take with them. Donations may be dropped off in a box at the front of the middle school. Thank you for supporting Raider Nation and helping the Dallas SPCA!
