True Goodness: Understanding Good Friday
Office Message
Supporting Student Independence and School Safety
Your child’s safety is our number one priority. To ensure a secure environment, we kindly remind all visitors to sign in at the main office upon arrival.
If you are picking up your child early, please check in with our school secretary, who will be happy to assist you and call your student down. Following this procedure helps us minimize classroom interruptions and fosters student independence. By allowing students to manage their own belongings and transitions, we help them build confidence and organizational skills.
If you are dropping off items (lunches, homework, etc.), please leave them at the office and we will ensure they reach your child.
Thank you for your ongoing cooperation and support!
The Power of Punctuality: Starting the Day Right
As we move further into the school year, I want to highlight how a consistent morning routine and arriving on time significantly impact your child’s success and well-being. Arriving before the bell helps students feel calm, connected, and ready to dive into their studies without the stress of a rushed start.
Please keep our morning schedule in mind:
8:30 AM: Supervision begins.
8:35 AM: Entry bell rings.
8:40 AM: Instruction begins promptly.
Arriving by the 8:35 AM bell ensures your child is settled and ready for the day's first lesson. Missing even these few minutes can make it difficult for a child to catch up on the day's goals and expectations.
Simplify Your Morning Commute
Our division transportation can help relieve the stress of the morning rush! If you are interested in school bus service, please contact EICS Transportation at 780-449-6480 to inquire about available bussing options.
Thank you for your continued support and for your efforts in getting your child to school on time. It truly makes a world of difference in their daily confidence and academic progress.
Warmly,
M Alyre Morin
Principal

OLPH Parish ⛪
We offer our heartfelt congratulations to the children who received their First Holy Communion on March 22nd, 2026. We welcome you to the Table of the Lord with open arms.
Message from the Parish ⛪
Our third and final session of children's sacramental preparation classes for this school year will begin right after Easter. This program is open to children in grades 2-4 who wish to receive their sacraments of First Reconciliation & First Holy Communion.
The last Supper 🍞🍇
With cups of grape juice and pieces of bread, the children gathered to commemorate the Last Supper.
Our students, including Grade 4, have been thoroughly enjoying their time working with Mme Claire, our monitrice de langue, who is working with all students across EPK. A monitrice de langue is a French language mentor who helps students strengthen their oral language skills through authentic conversation, games, interactive activities, and rich vocabulary experiences. Her role is to bring the French language to life in meaningful and engaging ways, helping students build confidence in speaking, listening, and using French naturally in everyday contexts. These sessions are a wonderful complement to classroom learning and help deepen students’ connection to the language in a joyful and supportive environment.

CRAZY HAIR DAY
Our students brought so much joy and creativity to the school during Crazy Hair Day! From colourful spikes and wild curls to imaginative designs and hilarious styles, the hallways were filled with laughter, personality, and school spirit. It was wonderful to see students express themselves in such fun and unique ways while bringing smiles to everyone around them. Days like this help create a joyful sense of belonging and remind us that learning communities grow stronger when we celebrate creativity, confidence, and fun together.
Crazy Hair Day brought plenty of laughter, creativity, and school spirit to EPK, but it certainly did not distract from the important work happening behind the scenes. While our students and staff proudly embraced the fun, our team also took meaningful time to do a deep dive into our Assurance results. These conversations are essential as we reflect on what is working well, celebrate our strengths, and identify next steps to continue supporting student success, well-being, and faith-filled learning at EPK. It was a wonderful reminder that joy and purposeful growth can go hand in hand in a thriving school community.
