I hope you're enjoying these last days of summer! As we prepare to welcome our students back to school, I want to share an exciting new approach we’re implementing at Evans this year: our Soft Start morning routine.

This gentle start to the school day is designed to create a calm, welcoming environment where students feel emotionally ready and connected before jumping into academics.

We are happy to announce that Evans will be participating in the Fondy Food Pantry Food for Thought program again during the 2025-26 school year! Each Friday, beginning in October, students will receive a bag of food at no cost. Food bags include a variety of fresh and canned foods that are kid-friendly and easy to prepare. To avoid allergic reactions, please examine the food items before giving them to your children.

Whether you want to pitch in or just plug in, there’s a place for you. PTO hosts free Family Engagement events every month and we meet the second Thursday of every month in the school media center. All are welcome!

It’s back by popular demand! We are excited to announce we will be selling Bob’s Pizzas again this year but with a new option! We will still be selling the frozen pizzas but now you can also sell coupons for a pizza! The coupons can be redeemed at Bob’s Pizza on Merrill Ave or Bob’s on the Avenue on Fond du Lac Ave through October 2026! Now you will not have to worry about having enough freezer space for all the pizzas you will want!

Orders Due: October 16th

Pick Up Date: First week of November (Exact date to be determined)

Prizes: Will be based on family sales. Each child will earn the prize with the exception of the pizza. It will be one pizza per 40 sold (if more than one child)

• 5 Pizzas Sold: Popsicle

• 10 Pizzas Sold: Extra Recess

• 40 Pizzas Sold: Free Pizza (one per 40 sold)

• 50 Pizzas Sold: Lunch with Mr. Shultis

If your child will be missing school, please call the office 920-929-2828. If nobody answers your call, please leave a message stating your child's name and reason for absence. You can also contact Mrs. Kawleski via email kawleskic@fonddulac.k12.wi.us or via Seesaw. In most cases, medical excuses are not mandatory, but greatly appreciated.

Please note: School District policy states that the student needs to stay home if they have a fever or are vomiting. The student needs to be clear of both for 24 hours before he/she can return.
