Renaissance News and Notes 25-26

The Parent Crew Foundation (PCF) is the heart of parent involvement at Renaissance Secondary School. Through event planning, staff and student support, fundraising, and more, PCF plays a vital role in strengthening our school community. Together, we enhance the educational experience for all students while upholding the strong culture of Crew that makes Renaissance unique.

We hope you will join us for the first PCF meeting of the year:

Your continued support makes all the difference—we look forward to kicking off a wonderful year together!

Student Parking

RSS student parking is at Metzler Ranch Community Park. We're so grateful for our partnership with the Town of Castle Rock and appreciate our students being responsible and respectful while using these lots! Note: Student parking is NOT allowed at Renaissance Elementary School, Renaissance Secondary School, or the Early Childhood Center.

Drop Off/ Pick Up

For drop off, please enter campus from Trail Boss Lane and follow the sign to Renaissance Secondary. Students may be dropped off in the traffic circle in front of the building. Please do not access the Renaissance Secondary School parking lot via the Early Childhood Center Parking lot. Thanks in advance for helping us to be mindful of our elementary school & preschool neighbors!

Help Us Keep Traffic Flowing and Students Safe!

Please drive slowly and be patient near our shared campus. We have new drivers and students of all ages walking near our campuses - we want to keep everyone safe!

Hear ye, hear ye! Ye Olde Gamer’s Gathering—known to most as Games Club—throws open its doors to all adventurers in grades 6–12. No need to bring supplies; just arrive ready for fun. From board games to Dungeons & Dragons to Magic: The Gathering, students may roam freely between realms. All games are face-to-face, never digital, and the quest concludes promptly at 6:30 p.m.

We’re excited to announce a special fundraiser for our ARTS program! From September 5–7, the Rockies are offering tickets where $5 from every ticket sold goes directly to Renaissance Arts Program — but only if you use our special link.

Here’s how it works:

1. Visit the Rockies Fundraiser Page

2. Select "Renaissance Secondary School" when prompted.

3. Enjoy the game knowing you’ve supported the arts!

BONUS: The top 3 schools in ticket sales will be recognized on the field during the September 5 game. Let’s get Renaissance out there!

Each Renaissance Secondary student is required to bring a Chromebook-level device and charger to school each day to support learning.

If providing a device presents a financial hardship, families may request to borrow a school-issued Chromebook for the year.

School lunch at Renaissance is provided free* of charge to all students through DCSD Nutrition Services, with additional à la carte items available for purchase. We encourage all families to complete the Free and Reduced-Price Meal Application—even if you don’t think you qualify—as it helps support school funding and can provide additional benefits like fee waivers. You’ll also find helpful links on our website for the weekly menu and dietary accommodations.

*Student meals are currently free through Colorado’s Healthy Meals for All program, but funding may change based on November ballot initiatives.
