Dear METCO Families, Students, and Staff,

We hope everyone enjoyed a restful Indigenous Peoples’ Day and took some time to reflect on the rich histories, cultures, and contributions of Indigenous communities. As we return from the long weekend, we have a short but meaningful week ahead!

Short Week Reminder

  • School will be in session Tuesday through Friday this week.
  • Wednesday is a 3/4 day so please be mindful of the bus time schedule
  • Please make sure students are on time and ready to learn every day counts, even in a short week!

Student Check-Ins

  • METCO staff will be conducting mid-quarter academic and wellness check-ins this week.
  • These are great opportunities for students to talk about how things are going both in school and socially.

Upcoming Events

  • Family Engagement Night: Save the date! The PDC will be hosting Family Cultural Night for Davis Families and is scheduled for Thursday, October 24, 5–6:30 PM at Davis School. More details listed below.

“When you know who you are, when your mission is clear, and you burn with the inner fire of unbreakable will, no cold can touch your heart.” - Chief Seattle

We’re proud of the effort our students are putting in as we move deeper into the fall semester. Let’s continue to show up for one another—with kindness, accountability, and pride in who we are and where we come from.

Wishing everyone a focused and positive week ahead!
