Students who complete 10 Zearn lessons by Christmas will be rewarded with a candy cane for their "sweet" work! There will also be a reward for those students who complete 45 lessons by the Christmas holidays.

Students may only participate if they have paid the 5 Starbucks in advance. If they have their WILDcat Wednesday card in their take home folder, they may participate.

On Tuesday, December 9th we will have DIBELS testing at EPE. Here are some tips for you to use with your children to ensure that they are reading for their test.

• Make sure your child gets plenty of sleep the night before—rested brains think better!

• Serve a healthy breakfast on test day to fuel their focus and stamina.

• Arrive to school on time so your child can start calm and confident, not rushed.

• Encourage a positive attitude—remind them that effort matters and they are capable.

• Keep the morning stress-free—offer reassurance and a calm send-off.

• Encourage them to try their best but not to worry—tests show what they know, not who they are!
