MRPS Loves Books!
Hello, RVS families,
Happy MRPS Loves Books Week! We are excited to celebrate all things reading this week. This Thursday, we look forward to hosting author Marty Kelley for a student presentation. On Friday, we will be visiting the "RVS Book Fair" (BIG thank you to our PTNO for hosting!) so that all students have a chance to shop and bring home a new book for April break. We have been very busy designing our book "costumes" to wear in our book parade, headed down to the Roxbury Free Library and back at 1:30 on Friday afternoon. Finally, we look forward to voting on this year's selection of Red Clover Books to find our official school favorite of 2023-2024.
Please be sure to ask your kiddo about all the fun projects and events happening!

RVS Important to Remember
- FOREST FRIDAY is rescheduled for WEDNESDAY afternoon this week to allow space for book week activities. Weather looks dry, but boots and durable pants will be helpful!
- School will be closed for April break from April 22-April 26th.
- Our garden volunteer work day has been scheduled for Saturday, May 11th, from 9 AM -12 PM. We can use plenty of helpers, and volunteers with shovels will be particularly helpful as we get ready to plant our new apple trees!
- LOST AND FOUND: We are encouraging kids to take home as many personal items throughout the week as possible, particularly winter-related gear. Caregivers, please stop in to see our lost and found collection in the front hallway if you are on campus this week.
UES Family Visit Night: Thursday, 5/2
We look forward to welcoming families transitioning from RVS to UES for a school tour and chance to meet school administrators and counselors from 5:30 - 6:30PM on May 2nd. A bus is also being provided for families who would like transportation from RVS. If you plan on attending, please fill out this brief RVSP form. We hope to see you there!
UES Family Input for Classroom Placement
Please watch your child's backpack for a learner placement caregiver questionnaire on the way home this week. This form gives RVS and UES teachers valuable input as we get ready to place students with their teachers for next year. Please send back in to your teacher once complete. If you do not see this come home or need another copy, just email shannonm@mpsvt.org. Thanks!
