SPHS Newsletter January 2026 2.0

Just a short newsletter to give you the scheduling options for parent teacher conferences next week. I also added some information about the screening we'll be conducting two weeks from now to give you time to decide if you want to allow your student to participate or if you want to opt out.

Below is the global scheduling tool I mentioned in our last newsletter. You should be able to schedule an appointment with any teacher using that tool. (I've also included a link to staff emails addresses, in case you just want to contact them for an email update instead of scheduling a conference)

Conferences can be held in-person, via phone, via video conference, or in an email exchange based on what makes sense for parents, students and teacher needs. Ideally, the format would be mutually agreed upon.

If you have any problems scheduling a conference with a teacher or a teacher does not offer you an option for conferencing about your student, please email me so that I can help resolve any issues.

February 11-20th we will be administering the above name mental health screener. It takes about 5 minutes, is voluntary, and gives us excellent information to act on in the case of students who might be silently struggling. The letter below, explains in more detail what the screener does and gives you the information you need if you want to opt your child out of the screening process.
