Welcome to the 2026 - 2027 School Year! ๐น๏ธ
Dear Wilson Families,
Welcome Back to the 2026-2027 school year!
Our school theme this year is โLevel Up!โ We selected this theme to inspire and motivate students to approach learning the same way they approach a great game: with focus, persistence, and strategy.
Students will stay locked in to learning by:
๐น๏ธ focusing on what they can control,
๐ฏ setting goals and creating a plan to reach them,
๐ง staying engaged during instruction,
๐ collaborating with peers and teachers,
๐ก trying new strategies when challenged,
โฐ investing time in practice to grow their skills, and
๐ unlocking their potential.
We all work as a team from school to home, preparing students for success in college, career and life.
We value open communication. Staff are happy to connect with our families. If you have questions about the 2026-2027 school year, feel free to visit our website, email me or call our office at (531) 299-2260.
Mrs. Larsen,
Principal

Wilson Focus Behavior Matrix ๐ฎ
Wilson Focus School Behavior Flowchart ๐
At Wilson Focus School, we invest significant time and energy into building positive relationships with our students and creating a supportive learning environment. We proactively teach, reteach, practice, and reinforce positive behavior expectations so that students understand what is expected and have the skills needed to be successful.
When a student is not meeting expectations, our staff follows a behavior support flowchart designed to address the behavior in a consistent and supportive manner. These steps help students reflect on their choices, learn from the situation, and receive the support they need. Our goal is always to help students successfully return to the learning environment and continue making positive contributions to our school community.
Meal Applications ๐
The quickest and most convenient way to apply is online through SchoolCafรฉ at SchoolCafรฉ โ Apply for School Meals (Benefits Tab: Apply for School Meals). In most cases, online submissions can be reviewed and approved within 24 hours. The same website can be used to complete either the Meal Application or the Educational Benefits Form.
ZUM - Bus Transportation ๐
We are aware of an issue with the Zum app and the dismissal times. Please know that dismissal today (and everyday until August 25th) will be a 3:30 P.M. dismissal. Zum is actively trying to fix this issue. We apologize for any confusion!

ZUM Parent App User Guide
Omaha Public Schools uses a proactive and instructional approach to school discipline. Through Multi-Tiered Systems of Support for Behavior (MTSS-B) and Social-Emotional Learning (SEL), staff work to create positive school environments where students feel welcome, connected, and safe.
The Student Code of Conduct applies to all students in Omaha Public Schools. It helps communicate which behaviors break the rules and what consequences may follow. School leaders consider several factors when choosing how to respond to misbehavior. These include the studentโs age, level of development, the seriousness of the incident, and the studentโs intent. Families are encouraged to review and discuss the Student Code of Conduct with their student(s).
