November 2026

A Message From Your Principal
Dear Cedar Point Families,
As we welcome November, I am reminded of how much we have to be thankful for at Cedar Point Elementary. Each day, our school is filled with curious learners, caring staff members, supportive families, and countless moments which make our community special.
This season of gratitude is a wonderful opportunity to pause and celebrate the partnership between home and school. Thank you for encouraging your children, supporting our teachers and staff, participating in school events, and trusting us to be part of your child's educational journey. Your partnership truly makes a difference.
As we move through November, we will continue to focus on strong instruction, meaningful relationships, kindness, and helping every student grow. Please continue to encourage your child to come to school each day ready to learn, contribute, and show their Champion Cheetah spirit!
I wish all of our Cedar Point families a joyful November filled with gratitude, special moments, and time together.
With gratitude,
Aerica A. Williams
Principal

Gifted Education News
During the first quarter, each homeroom class in 1st-3rd grade participated in enrichment lessons with Mrs. Brazier, Cedar Point’s Gifted Education and Talent Development teacher.
In 1st grade, the students practiced their critical thinking and collaboration skills as they worked together to solve jigsaw puzzles with and without a guiding picture. Each student had a portion of the puzzle pieces and used descriptive language to describe each piece’s attributes to help create the larger puzzle together.
The 2nd grade students sharpened their visual-spatial skills as they learned to solve Q-Bitz puzzles (pictured). Q-Bitz puzzles are composed of 16 cubes that have a different pattern on each face. Students rotate the cubes and place them in the wooden game board to match the pattern on the selected card.
Our Cedar Point 3rd graders were introduced to the world of analogies. They practiced finding the relationship between the words, pictures, or numbers in order to solve verbal, visual-spatial, and number analogies. As part of the lesson, each homeroom class identified and practiced solving analogies with the following relationships: synonyms, antonyms, homophones, part/whole, user/object, and type/description.
Mrs. Brazier updates her Enrichment Padlet each week. All Cedar Point students can access the Padlet via a QR code in their homeroom classroom or from the following website address: https://padlet.com/braziesc/26_27_Enrichment
