A note from Ms. Ballard
Dear Families,
We have certainly missed our students, and we are excited for them to return! Snow removal has been challenging due to the wind and below freezing temperatures. Please remind our students to use caution when walking and please be careful if you walk your child to school. BCS has a total of 5 snow days built into the school calendar. (There have now been 5 snow days to date.) We are now preparing for Remote Learning Days.
Students will begin transporting their iPads to and from school daily. Please make sure that your student brings back his/her iPad each day. This is very important as iPads are used daily at school. (A school-issued iPad has monitoring technology and will alert school personnel if it is being used for anything other than schoolwork. It is important that only your student uses his or her specific iPad. Students are held accountable for content on their iPads.)
Again, we look forward to welcoming our students back to school! Have a great afternoon!
**Students will recieve report cards on Friday, Jan 17, 2025. Our Awards Assembly will also take place Friday, Janurary 17th at 2:00pm. -Ms. Ballard
Please Get Connected
Communication is KEY.
If you are unable to participate in live lessons, please be sure to communicate this with your student's teacher. We are here to support our students and families. We will have alternate activities available for students that are unable to attend the live sessions. (snow packets). Please work with us to help our kiddos be successful.
Remote Learning Expectations
Getting Back to Routine After Holiday Break
The info below contains recommendations to help your child be successful.
Open communication: Discuss how everyone feels about returning to routine and address any concerns openly.
Positive reinforcement: Highlight the fun aspects of returning to school or work, like seeing friends or starting new projects.
Model the Change: If your child seems to be struggling to get back into the groove, model the routine for them.
Patience is Key: breathe and find patience.
Attendance Matters
Check your child's planner and folder each night to check the attendance tracker.
Please aim to send your child to school each day. If your child is not sick, please send them to school.

After School Program
Walkers
We understand that older siblings may need to walk our kiddos home. Please be sure your child's teacher is aware of this arrangement. We have a new form to be completed by parents/guardians of students that are walked home by siblings that are under 18 years of age. Once the teacher is made aware, we will send home the form.
