excellent yet again

Parents, Teachers, and Students,

The results are in, and once again, Bluffton High School has earned an EXCELLENT rating on the South Carolina State Report Card for the 2024-2025 school year. This is the 5th year in a row and we could not be more proud of our students, families, staff, and all community members and partners that made this excellent rating possible. We look forward to celebrating this accomplishment in numerous ways throughout the school year, including our Day of Excellence, which will be epic in order to commemorate a 5 time award.

November is here and with it comes the anticipation of the holidays. It's easy to lose focus during this time of shorter days, longer nights, and sporadic days off during the week. We ask that you remain engaged and dedicated to finishing the semester in strong fashion. Seat time requirements have changed - that information is provided in detail below. If you have questions regarding what is required please reach out to your child's teacher or our attendance clerk for clarification.

Our Ghost Pirate's Game is this Saturday, November 8. Ticket link for the game. Can't make it to the Ghost Pirate's game? PTO will gladly accept your assistance or donations for future staff and student appreciation events via Venmo @bobcatspto any time of the year. Check out their page on our website to stay up to date.

This week you can expect:

School Psychologist Week - November 3-11

Election Day No School - November 4

JROTC Fundraiser at Chipotle - November 4 from 5-10 pm

SIC Meeting - November 6 @ 6 pm

Future BobcatTours

Last Monday and Tuesday we hosted 100 H.E. McCracken Bulldogs and 225 Bluffton Middle Mustangs for the annual Future Bobcat event. Our student to student ambassadors provided tours around the building, PTO handed out popcorn, and our clubs and athletics organizations were standing by to recruit new members and answer all the burning questions a soon-to-be Bobcat may have. Thanks to all who made it possible!

To ensure a safe and secure environment at BCSD athletic events, all spectators and athletes entering our venues will be asked to remove hoods or face coverings that obscure one’s identity, such as balaclava-style masks. This practice, which is common at collegiate athletic events, will help us maintain safety by ensuring individuals can be easily identified if needed.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in creating a safe and welcoming atmosphere for everyone. Please reach out to District Athletic Director Dr. Carlos Cave for any questions.
