Parents, We are so appreciative of your generosity. Thank you so much for sending in snacks for our holiday party. The students had such a great time. Also, Thank you for the thoughtful teacher gifts!

1. Please make sure students are going to bed at a decent time as we get back into the routine

2. If your child has a fever they must be fever free for 24 hours before they return to school

3. Keep practicing tying their shoes.

4. Keep extra clothes in a ziploc bag in your student's backpack to use in case of need.
5. Teachers will respond to parent emails within a 24-hour timeframe.
6. If your child brings a home lunch they are welcomed to bring a water bottle for lunch only.

7. As the weather is changing make sure your child is dressed appropriately

Change of Transportation must be submitted in Writing Park Street requires written notice from parent or legal guardian before allowing a change or transportation or students to be transported by anyone other than a parent.

You may send in a note with your child or email parkstreet@marietta-city.org with the details of the change.

If you must make a change during the day, notify the school office staff before 2:45 p.m.

Reading and Phonics:

• We will begin Wit and Wisdom Module 3 - Then and Now.
• Identifying letters and sounds
• Reading CVC words
• Listening to texts (fiction and nonfiction books) and participating by answering questions about the texts
• Identifying main topic and key details

Science / Social Studies:

• Day and Night

Writing:

• Letter formation using the top, middle, bottom line as guidance
• Writing first and last name
• Beginning to write sentences

Math:

• Addition and Subtraction and word problems using different strategies

• Jan. 19th - MLK day no school
• Jan. 20th - 100th day of school (Students may dress up as if they were 100 years old)
