GROWL Award

At Pettigrew Elementary, we believe that strong relationships between families and staff are the heart of a great school. That’s why we’re excited to launch the GROWL Award—a special way to recognize Pettigrew staff who go above and beyond to connect with and support our families.

GROWL stands for Great Relationships Of Warmth & Leadership. This award celebrates staff members who show kindness, communicate openly, and build positive partnerships with parents and guardians. Whether it's a teacher who always makes time to talk, a staff member who offers support during a tough moment, or someone who simply makes you and your child feel welcome—those are GROWL moments worth celebrating!

Parents and guardians can nominate any Pettigrew staff member who has made a positive impact. Staff will get recognized with a certificate from Mr. Wagner with their nomination. They also will receive a special Panther Pin (shown on the right) to wear on their lanyard as a symbol of this honor. It’s a small gesture to recognize the big difference they’re making.

Any staff member in the building is eligible to receive the GROWL Award. It is all up to you to nominate them! You can nominate as many staff members as you want. This opportunity will be open throughout the entire school year.
