HES Shark Scoop
October 6, 2023

January 24, 2025
Dear HES Caregivers,
It was wonderful to feel the energy buzzing around HES this week! With warmer temperatures (finally!) on the horizon, we're hoping to get our Sharks back outside for recess consistently next week. Please remember to send your child to school with appropriate winter gear to keep them warm and dry. If you need any support with winter clothing items, please don't hesitate to reach out to our student support team.
As always, we value your partnership and are here to support you and your child. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
My best,
Christie

Call the Attendance Line If Your Shark Is Absent
Per the handbook, if your child is unable to attend school, please enter the absence in PickUp Patrol and/or call our designated attendance line, 617-848-0115, as early as possible. Soon after arrival, our office staff begins to call the caregivers of absent students if we haven't already heard from them. This is important, as we want to ensure that all students are safe. Your phone message with the reason for the absence is all we need. While an email to the teacher is helpful, it sometimes doesn't make its way to the office staff. Thank you for your help!
